Hello everyone! I am coming to you this friday on a very cold and snowy day! With Christmas fast approching I figured this story was very fitting. I am always awe struck when I see children playing and using their imagination. My neices and nephews absolutly love lego. The way they can create something out of tiny little blocks is wonderful! The pure joy, pride and satisfaction they have when they have finished building their creations is great! Sometimes I wonder what God thought about after each thing He created. What He was thinking and feelig as He was creating them. I bet He had the same joy, pride and satisfaction. I pray you all have a wonderful WARM and safe weekend! God bless you all! Hello all! Happy Friday! This week is about throwing away our inhibition. I don’t know if it was this week or last, but we were at walmart and I was dared to dance with the robotic santa at the front doors of the store. What was my response? I went over to him and held his hand and danced and sang! Why not? I had fun, it made me smile, I hope it made those around me smile. If not, oh well! This weeks story is about how children just don’t care, and how we need to learn to stop caring. This sweet little girl sees santa sitting alone eating at a restaurant and took it upon herself to sit down at his table and talk to him as though they were old friends! Children don’t care what other people think. They don’t have concerns of embarrassment. I love the freedom children feel! I think that is what Christ was talking about when He said to come to Him as a child. We need to be free of all the concerns of this world and have eyes only for Him. I pray you all have a safe and wonderful God filled weekend!! Check out this story and more here.
Hello everyone! I pray you all had a wonderful God filled week. I was thinking about all the wonderful things and ways God makes a difference in our everyday lives. Things and ways that we don’t even realize! From the life changing miracles, to something as simple as a stranger smiling at you as you walk by them on the street. If you sat back before you went to bed and thought about each and every blessing you received, in just one day, I think we would all have a new appreciation of all that God does for us each and every day. I love the weather and most things that have to do with it. Most of the time if I am alone the tv will be on the weather network, I am a bit of a geek! 🙂 I love this picture! God is the most amazing artist, considering He is the original creator so it kind of makes sense lol. His majestic ways of showing us He is with us and watching over us continues to amaze me! The message for this week is simply count your blessings, that’s all. It is a similar idea as why I created this fellowship Friday blog. It is so easy to find negative and bad new at every corner, but when you take a moment and look around, you will see the never-ending love and blessings from our Lord our God. I encourage you to take a moment and really look at the blessings that had been bestowed upon you today!
For David. I wrote this quite some time ago and have not posted it. I was visiting with David today and it felt as though God needed him to hear/read it. This is an extremely personal piece, when I wrote this I was just coming out of a very dark period in my life. God bless all of you, have a God filled day!
Monster in me
I look in the mirror and all I see is you. You hide behind my eyes, laying dormant just waiting for your chance to strike. You find my fears and insecurities and feed on every one of them. You get bigger and stronger with each one. With every second guess. With every doubt. You are in your glory every time I let you win. With Him I am stronger than you! I can concur you. You are only as strong as I let you be. I am done with letting you take control of who I am and who I want to be. No longer will I allow you to hold me back, no longer will I allow you the satisfaction of seeing me weak and afraid. You will no longer be able to control my thoughts. I am His and He is mine. With Him you have no power!
I found this article on the web (sunnyskyz.com). I love the idea of showing little girls that they don’t have to conform to the ideals of what society thinks a woman should look like. Women are beautiful creations of Gods, each made unique and wonderful! God bless all of you have a wonderful God filled day!!!!
What do you think? Should children’s companies (i.e. Disney, Pixar, Nickleonian, etc.) make more realistic characters?
