Yesterday we payed respects to my brother Jeff. I don’t want to say last respects or really anything relating to past tense. He may be physically gone, but spiritually he is very present. That was so very evident at the memorial (wake) last night. We were surrounded by so many of his dearest friends and family. It was a wonderful evening/night. It was so nice to see that so many people loved him the same way we did. He is a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed. He’s my protector and my strength. Thank all of you for your kind words and prayers in this horribly trying time. We are trying to keep our eyes focused on the Lord. God bless each and everyone of you! Thank you!

We just had the most amazing night! We had Gorbachoff, Spiff and Pug over for dinner tonight and it was just awesome! The Lord has found such favor in us, far more than I could ever imagine! It was one of those nights you never want to end! I couldn’t have asked for more. I am not just talking about tonight. I am talking about my life! Everything has turned around, it’s back to how it was before the accident. No…..better! I have my family back! My prayers have been answered ten fold! I love my brothers and now I have both of them!!! There is one person who I pray would want to share in this joy with, but I am not greedy and when this person is ready they will come to me. Until then I will continue to pray for them and that they get past whatever it is that is keeping them from me. My little Pug was so sweet! Tonight it was as if she couldn’t get enough of me. She melts my heart that little girl! Another answered prayer, her and I baked my special cake (she learned the secret ingredient). I am so happy and blessed I can’t stop thanking The Lord for all He is doing for me! Oh!!!! Also I got my feet tattoo’s finally!!!!! I have always tried to live by Psalm 119:133 “Guide my footsteps according to YOUR Word”. It’s in a pretty script across both feet! I absolutely love it! Unfortunately I won’t be posting any pictures of them, just my personal online rules. Darn those rules!! Lol sorry this ran on so long I just wanted to share the blessings and love of The Lord with all of you, my brothers and sisters of Christ! Ooohhh!!!! Also we got the best gift tonight from Pug! She is 4 and she drew a picture and wrote her alphabet! God bless all of you my dear brothers and sisters!
Being an older sibling of a special needs child comes with certain challenges. Even more so for eight year old Noah Aldrich, though not for reasons you may think. Noah is an average eight year old with a six year old brother Lucas. Lucas was born with a malformed brain and because of that he has something called lissencephaly. Lucas is bound to a wheelchair and can not speak, though that doesn’t stop him from showing his pleasure when Noah comes into the room! The two have a very special bond, so much so that when Noah signed up for his local youth triathlon it wasn’t a question of whether Lucas would be watching from the sidelines or if Lucas would participate alongside his brother! Nope Noah pushed, and pulled Lucas through the entire course! The event was a two hundred meter swim, a three mile bike ride and a mile run. Just a little perspective Lucas weighs about fifty pounds and the cart for Noah’s bike to carry Lucas was about forty pounds, that was an additional ninety pounds for eight year old Noah to drag behind him for the entire three mile bike leg! Ninety pounds! I can’t even lift that weight I don’t think! These two brothers are amazing little men! They are a true testament to boundless love! I pray we can all show a sliver of this love with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! God bless all of you and have a safe God filled weekend!
