Fellowship Friday!

Hello all! I pray you had a wonderful week! Mine was pretty okay, a few lows but more highs than lows! I would like to apologize for my very brief and impersonal post last Friday. Some days I handle Jeffery’s loss better than others, and that day I chose not to deal with it very well. My apologies. I am a work in progress,  but the Lord is seeing me through everyday! Now onto this week’s fellowship! As many of you know the homeless and homeless awareness are two of my passions, and my heart swells with joy anytime someone helps ones of our fallen brothers or sisters. More so though when it is a child helping them. As cliche as it sound, children really are the future! One of these little one just might end homelessness one day! That is my prayer! A mother took her son to a local waffle house for dinner and he noticed a man with a rough appearance, never having seen a homeless person before he didn’t understand why he looked the way he did. As all little ones do when something is unfamiliar to them, he started asking him mom questions. His mother explained that being homeless meant the man didn’t have a home. The boy insisted that his mother should buy the gentleman dinner. When they brought the food to him the little boy insisted once more. This time that they pray before they ate. This little boy had a restaurant full with 11 people in tears as he rang his prayers up to the heavens! I love the purity of a child heart! They are uninhibited, they don’t care if people look at them or think they are strange. They are not self conscious, they just do what they feel is right! I love it! Okay everyone I pray you all have a safe, fun and God filled weekend! God bless you all!

Fellowship Friday

Hello everyone! I am coming to you this friday on a very cold and snowy day! With Christmas fast approching I figured this story was very fitting. I am always awe struck when I see children playing and using their imagination. My neices and nephews absolutly love lego. The way they can create something out of tiny little blocks is wonderful! The pure joy, pride and satisfaction they have when they have finished building their creations is great! Sometimes I wonder what God thought about after each thing He created. What He was thinking and feelig as He was creating them. I bet He had the same joy, pride and satisfaction. I pray you all have a wonderful WARM and safe weekend! God bless you all! Fellowship Friday!

Being an older sibling of a special needs child comes with certain challenges. Even more so for eight year old Noah Aldrich, though not for reasons you may think. Noah is an average eight year old with a six year old brother Lucas. Lucas was born with a malformed brain and because of that he has something called lissencephaly. Lucas is bound to a wheelchair and can not speak, though that doesn’t stop him from showing his pleasure when Noah comes into the room! The two have a very special bond, so much so that when Noah signed up for his local youth triathlon it wasn’t a question of whether Lucas would be watching from the sidelines or if Lucas would participate alongside his brother! Nope Noah pushed, and pulled Lucas through the entire course! The event was a two hundred meter swim, a three mile bike ride and a mile run. Just a little perspective Lucas weighs about fifty pounds and the cart for Noah’s bike to carry Lucas was about forty pounds, that was an additional ninety pounds for eight year old Noah to drag behind him for the entire three mile bike leg! Ninety pounds! I can’t even lift that weight I don’t think! These two brothers are amazing little men! They are a true testament to boundless love! I pray we can all show a sliver of this love with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! God bless all of you and have a safe God filled weekend!

Happy mother’s day!

Happy mother’s day to all of my beautiful sisters! When I am saying this I am not only speaking about those of you who have children, by birth, fostering or adoption. I am speaking to all women! All who have impacted a child’s life in any way. This is my first mother’s day since my hysterectomy and it’s funny, I have known for over 10 years I couldn’t have children but this year is somehow different. It actually hurts a little, I never wanted kid’s, but it’s like now that it’s definite that I can’t it’s somehow different. Makes no sense to me, but oh well. Even though I can’t bare a child I still have nieces and nephews who love me and I have the opportunity to impact them in someway. I don’t know what God has in store for me. I do know that being a mother doesn’t define me, no ma’am! I taught Sunday school for years, hopefully I had an impact there. I have my babies (niece’s and nephews) I am not incomplete! I am full! God bless all of you and have a blessed and beautiful mothers day! Happy mother’s day to all the women in my life, duder you are an amazing mom to my babies! Spiff you too! Love all of you!

I love you mama! You are the most amazing woman in the world! You are such a source of strength and encouragement. I love you so much. I thank God that He has blessed me with you!! Thank you for being my best friend no matter what I do or who I choose to be! May the Lord grant you all that He is! Love you God bless you!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 😛
