Fellowship Friday!

Hello everyone! Happy friday! This week for me has been pretty good. After many suggestions my heart was finally softened and opened to trying a new coping idea when it comes to dealing with Jeffery’s passing. Stay tuned for a new addition to my blog! This week’s message is about never giving up, even when it seems like all odds are against you. You just might be surprised by what could happen! A man was in an accident and ended up in a coma. The doctors said that there was a 10% chance he would wake from his coma. They told is wife she should pull the plug as the odds were so low. At the time of the accident he and his wife had only been married for 7 months. She was not ready to give up. So after a time in the hospital she brought him home. She cared for him 24/7. By the grace of God alone one day he woke up and said he was trying. Through everything she never gave up on him, she never lost hope of him one day coming back to her. This is much like God would never give up on us. He is always here for us, waiting patiently for us, caring for us, loving us, nurturing us. So while things can seem hard, or impossible  just know that no matter what God will be here for us! God bless each and everyone of you and your families. Have a safe, fun and God filled weekend!

Fellowship Friday!

This week’s fellowship friday is all about the sacrifice God made for us on this day. Today His beloved Son suffered death so that you and I may receive the gift of forgiveness. He is the very reason for our fellowship!  Jesus Christ is what brings us all together. Due to life and various other thing I did not participate in Lent this year. I feel a bit crummy about it. Though I can’t dwell on it because I can’t change it. What I want to do, is focus on the true sacrifice that was done for me. I need to remember and focus on that when I feel unworthy or guilty of sin. Who am I to tell the Lord that He is or was wrong in sacrificing His Son for me? This weekend like most of you, I will be spending time meditating over the greatness of Gods sacrifice. God bless each and every one of you and happy Easter!  May you have a safe, fun and God filled weekend.
P. S. Do you have a favorite Easter hymn? Though I don’t prefer classic hymns my favorite does happen to be an Easter one. It is “this is the day the Lord has made”.

I have been seeing it here and there but not until it was brought to my attention today did I actually know what it was about. I love it!!!!! It is a true sign of how universal love is and can be!! So I guess the message would be to love others as the Lord loves you!!! God bless you all and have a safe and fun God filled weekend!

Fellowship Friday

I really wasn’t sure if I was going to post this week. I wouldn’t want to relive this week so long as I live. But, if my brother were still with us he wouldn’t put up with me sitting around feeling sorry for myself. He was always so encouraging and well pushy! He knew the passion I felt for my writing and pushed me when I was being lazy or when I wanted to quit. So this week’s fellowship friday is about appreciation, love, and encouragement. Appreciate the people the Lord as blessed you with, you never know what tomorrow will bring. Love them as the Lord loves you. Lastly encourage one another, it’s so beautiful the way a person can blossom with the right amount of encouragement. Seeing the pain this great loss has left my parents with adds to my own pain. A parent should never have to experience the death of a child. Fortunately the last thing we can all remember saying is “I love you”. So, if you have a child, grab your phone or go into their room and just say, “I love you”. Please! You won’t regret it! Tomorrow we say our final goodbye to a beautiful bright soul. Please pray for strength for the family and everyone who comes out to pay their respects. God bless all of you have a safe and fun weekend.

Fellowship Friday!

Being an older sibling of a special needs child comes with certain challenges. Even more so for eight year old Noah Aldrich, though not for reasons you may think. Noah is an average eight year old with a six year old brother Lucas. Lucas was born with a malformed brain and because of that he has something called lissencephaly. Lucas is bound to a wheelchair and can not speak, though that doesn’t stop him from showing his pleasure when Noah comes into the room! The two have a very special bond, so much so that when Noah signed up for his local youth triathlon it wasn’t a question of whether Lucas would be watching from the sidelines or if Lucas would participate alongside his brother! Nope Noah pushed, and pulled Lucas through the entire course! The event was a two hundred meter swim, a three mile bike ride and a mile run. Just a little perspective Lucas weighs about fifty pounds and the cart for Noah’s bike to carry Lucas was about forty pounds, that was an additional ninety pounds for eight year old Noah to drag behind him for the entire three mile bike leg! Ninety pounds! I can’t even lift that weight I don’t think! These two brothers are amazing little men! They are a true testament to boundless love! I pray we can all show a sliver of this love with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ! God bless all of you and have a safe God filled weekend!
